Our students have settled in well to the new half term, and it's wonderful to visit lessons and see so much high-quality learning taking place. We are proud to offer a broad and balanced range of subjects, and this week's newsletter celebrates work in Religious Studies, Textile Design, and ASDAN. Reminder of standardsWe are working hard to embed a positive culture and climate across the Academy, and part of this involves maintaining the high standards set out in our policies. Sometimes rules may come across as trivial, but the reality is that keeping up our expectations is key to establishing clear boundaries and setting a positive tone. Please remind your child:

Students have had opportunities to research hygiene standards within the local area, questioning the standards of some of their favourite restaurants when learning about food hygiene ratings. In addition, our Year 10 students have had the opportunity to take a lead role in caring for our new additions to The Zone – learning about healthy lifestyles for fish and what they need to thrive and survive. – Miss Chamberlain ![]() Learning the Highway CodeOn Wednesdays, we run a club for Sixth Formers who are planning to take their driving theory test in the near future. Activities include learning the Highway Code such as the signs and road markings vital to passing your test. ![]() Students have had opportunities to test their knowledge by taking online practice theory tests, and they have also had a go at hazard perception tests by clicking when a hazard is present (this is harder than it seems). If anyone is interested in joining us, see me for a letter. – Mrs Y Smith ![]() Upcoming Events
